Golden Gate National Recreation Area Coastal Cleanup Day

Join community members across the Golden Gate National Recreation Area for California's statewide Coastal Cleanup Day to remove trash and protect coastal ecosystem health. Volunteers at Muir Beach, Stinson Beach, and Rodeo Beach in the Marin Headlands will gather marine debris to safeguard native wildlife habitats and prevent ocean pollution.

Program Location: Muir Beach, Stinson Beach, and Rodeo Beach (Marin Headlands)

Meeting Place: Main Beach Parking Lots

Please bring a personal reusable water bottle, sturdy closed-toe shoes, sun protection, and weather layers. To minimize waste, volunteers are encouraged to bring their own work gloves and a bucket or bag. Cleanup supplies and gloves are also available on-site.

*Registration recommended but not required.

Volunteers under 18 must bring a signed volunteer waiver form from a parent or guardian, and groups of five or more must arrange registration in advance.
